Since 2001, Paray-le-Monial has been labeled 4 flowers in the National Flower Towns and Villages competition. The city also won the National Tree Prize in 1991 and the Regional Prize for Heritage Enhancement in 2000. A veritable green setting, the original and creative flowering uses a very wide range of plants and flowers.

With more than 60 years of history, the label of towns and villages in bloom mobilizes nearly a third of French municipalities, 4,470 of them are labeled. Evolving with the expectations of citizens, the label is now committed to issues such as the quality of reception, respect for the environment and the preservation of social ties.
